Perrys Field to Fork is an Artisan Butchery and Cookery School delivering cookery courses, situated in the historic Grade ll listed market town of Eccleshall in the heart of rural Staffordshire. Our cookery courses take place in a purpose built cookery school situated in the grounds of the national award-winning Perrys of Eccleshall, Master Butcher and Game Dealer.

At Perrys Field to Fork there’s lots of different cooking experiences on offer. From smoking and curing meat, to making chocolate and cheese, to mastering the perfect pizza, there’s an experience for everyone. Immerse yourself in traditional bread-making, create sweet and savoury baked goods your gran would be proud of, take your taste buds on a culinary journey with world cuisine or learn the art of lip-smackingly good BBQ.

Our artisan cookery courses and butchery courses are delivered by award-winning seasoned professionals who’ve acquired their knowledge in the most prestigious culinary schools and honed their skills in the UKs top restaurants, hotels and pubs. Some are published authors too. Our experts will ensure you have the skills and know-how to replicate what you learn on the day and transfer those skills to your home cooking experience.

Perrys Field to Fork was borne out of a need to preserve the heritage of traditional farming and food production techniques, in favour of mass food production. By sharing artisan skills and knowledge and a “hearts and minds approach” to learning, we aim to share our passion for provenance with as many people as possible, while creating amazing food and memorable experiences that will last a lifetime.

At Perrys Field to Fork, Perrys of Eccleshall, Master Butcher Stephen Hill shares his 30-some years’ expertise in butchery from simple sausage-making courses, hand raised pies and scotch egg making courses to learning how to traditionally prepare a side of prime pork or lamb to a forequarter of beef all of which you’ll take home to cook in the comfort of your own home.

Perrys of Eccleshall Master Butcher and Game Dealer has traded in the heart of the historic market town of Eccleshall for almost a century and was crowned Britain’s Best Butcher by the Countryside Alliance in 2018. The guaranteed provenance and traceability of produce, together with low food miles (stock is reared by our fabulous farmers within just 5 miles) ensures we produce sustainable award-winning quality meat every day.

We have a wide range of butchery courses and cookery courses to suit all abilities from beginner, to intermediate through to advanced skills. The courses are designed to be fun and informative, to build knowledge and confidence and a love for quality ingredients that deliver great flavours.

Yes. Every course on our website can be purchased as a gift voucher and sent by email or post to the lucky recipient. Alternatively, you can buy a butchery course or cookery course gift voucher to a specific amount and the recipient can use it to buy whichever cookery course or butchery course they wish.

Yes, our butchery courses and cookery courses are perfect for corporate team building and customer and staff reward programmes too. Our team building cookery courses are a great way to remove barriers and help us explore new ideas and build stronger relationships. Perrys Field to Fork brings people together for a shared educational and fun experience, facilitated by experts, using the highest quality local produce possible, in our professional cookery school.

Yes. We welcome groups for family celebrations, birthday parties and host hen and stag celebrations too.

Our facilities are available for exclusive hire with our signature cookery course packages or a course tailored specifically to your group.

Yes. We deliver a range of modules for schools and college students and cookery courses to suit different age groups and curriculum models.

We’re based in Eccleshall, in the heart of rural Staffordshire. Our School is easily accessed from Derbyshire, Shropshire and Cheshire and we are only minutes from the M6 (north and south junctions), A51, A50 and the A34. More details can be found here
