Join us at Perrys Field to Fork for our Spanish Tapas and Paella course. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in the Spanish way of living while enjoying a delicious platter of Manchego, Serrano ham, olives, and fresh bread.

In Spain, food is a big part of daily life. People love preparing a variety of dishes to share with family and friends. And of course, they often enjoy them with a glass or two of sangria.

So, join us on this Spanish cookery experience to explore authentic Spanish culture and cuisine. It’s the perfect way to bring a taste of Spain into your home.

Chicken and Chorizo Paella – Paella is a traditional rice dish from Valencia. Today, it is one of the region’s most iconic symbols. It has also become one of the best-known and most loved dishes in all of Spanish cuisine.

Spanish Meatballs (Albondigas) – Many countries have their own version of meatballs. In Spain, they are known as Albondigas. In Italy, they are called Polpettes. Spanish meatballs are rich, comforting, and full of flavour.

Patatas Bravas – Patatas bravas is a well-known Spanish tapas dish. It features white potatoes cut into small cubes, fried until crisp, and served with one or more spicy sauces. It’s simple, satisfying, and always a favourite.

Fried Squid – Light, crisp, and delicious. This classic Spanish dish is often enjoyed with a squeeze of lemon and shared among friends.

Aioli Sauce – Aioli is a creamy garlic sauce that pairs perfectly with tapas. It adds richness and a burst of Mediterranean flavour to every bite.

Sangria (Demo and Tasting) – To complete the experience, enjoy a demonstration and tasting of refreshing Spanish sangria. It’s the perfect way to bring a touch of Spanish sunshine to your day.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Cook the perfect Spanish paella using a traditional paellera (paella pan).

  • Combine and cook ingredients to maximise authentic Spanish flavours in every dish.

  • Make classic Spanish aioli from scratch.

  • Prepare delicious fried squid with confidence.

  • Present and serve food the traditional “Spanish way.”

  • Plan the perfect Spanish menu to recreate at home and share with family and friends.

 

This Spanish Fiesta takes place in the historic town of Eccleshall, right in the heart of rural Staffordshire. Moreover, it is easily accessed from Derbyshire, Shropshire, and Cheshire. In fact, we are only minutes from the M6, A51, A50, and A34. We also offer free on-site parking.

Throughout the day, our “kitchen angels” will support you and make sure you have everything you need. We’ll provide an apron, along with all the equipment and ingredients required. Best of all, we’ll even do the washing up!

This course runs from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, and you are welcome to join us from 15 minutes before the start for freshly brewed tea or coffee. Then, once the cooking begins, you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Afterwards, you’ll sit down to lunch with the rest of the participants to enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared. It’s a great chance to share your cooking experiences and, of course, to enjoy some wonderful food together.

In addition, we make a conscious effort to reduce waste and encourage you to bring your own containers so you can take your goodies home.

No prior experience is necessary for this course and the day will appeal to keen cooking enthusiasts and those who are new to Spanish cooking. It will be a wonderful experience and you will learn from Sara who is truly passionate about creating delicious food from simple ingredients. You’ll meet new people and enjoy the hospitality of the Perrys Field to Fork team.
